This project is to renovate the sheltered church in London. The owner's demand is to transform it into a theater, and hope that the theater can become an entertainment place for the surrounding residents. The converted theatre will be used by the David Glass Ensemble company.
Brief
After research on future users and surrounding residents, the designer's design concept is to build an open space for visitors to use. And the main user of the theater in the future is David Glass Ensemble. The main performance style of his company is immersive theater, which requires zero-distance communication with the audience. Therefore, the designer divides the stage and the auditorium with moving lines, but does not use physical devices. block.

Steps of different heights are set in the auditorium, and small steps are set on the left and right sides to facilitate people to travel. There are no traditional theater seats in the auditorium to enhance the audience's sense of integration into the immersive drama.
